The University of Manchester visited us recently to introduce Sixth Form students to the idea of using Virtual Reality to ‘connect rural areas to the creative digital economy, and engage young people and get them thinking whether they might like to develop their skills in this area’.
They provided a two-hour interactive demonstration for our Sixth Form Engineering and Creative students who were able to try a reality headset that gives access to a 3D drawing tool created by Google.
The students had a great time, commenting: “This is a new experience we’ve not tried before. It also gave us an insight into the new technology available.“
