Thank you to all the representatives of Congleton Rotary who came in to school in January to help prepare a team of our Year 12 students for the Rotary 'Youth Speaks' competition.
Youth Speaks is a public speaking competition for 11-18 year olds in two age groups, Intermediate (11 to 13) and Senior (14 to 17). Each team will comprise of three students and there are 72 teams from 38 schools taking part. The competition has three tiers: nine District Heats, three District Finals and one Grand Final, which will be held in Frodsham at the end of March.
On 29th January we’ll take part in the Biddulph District Heat of the competition, competing against All Hallows, James Bateman, Woodhouse and Fallibroome.
Judging by the group’s performance in the practice runs, we are looking forward to bringing you great news as the competition progresses!
