The UK Mathematics Trust Intermediate Maths Challenge results are in and we're delighted to have amassed a total of 37 medals. Gold for Year 9 Reuben G, Year 10 Lennon G and Year 11 Ben T, and a further fourteen silver and twenty bronze medals (see below).
The Challenge, which took place at the end of January, is a sixty minute, multiple-choice competition, aimed at students across the UK. It encourages mathematical reasoning, precision of thought, and fluency in using basic mathematical techniques to solve interesting problems.
The problems on the Intermediate Maths Challenge are designed to make students think. Most are accessible, yet still challenge those with more experience.
