Congratulations to Year 9 student, Oscar dV, whose recent outstanding race results have qualified him to swim in five events in the British National Age Group Championships in the summer.

This is the first year Oscar has been able to qualify for this and it is a step up in difficulty, with only the top 28 swimmers per event in Britain being invited to compete at Ponds Forge.

Oscar achieved his place and delivered the required times for selection through races at events in Liverpool and then his regional Championships at Sandwell Aquatics, where he won six gold medals, one silver and three bronze.

Just one week after the British Championships, Oscar will compete in a further five events at English National Championships.
